Particulars

You will have the school community and the public at your exhibitions. This audience will represent

* specialists in the field,
* interested faculty and students and community members.

You should provide a link to your ePortfolio prior to the week presentation. You have a 15-20 minute presentation time period. Questions and answers will be held for after the presentation unless the flow works for questions during your presentation. Your work is assessed based on the Exhibition Rubric. Students will receive numerical equivalencies for exhibitions based on your overall score.

General Description:

* An exhibition is a demonstration, through the application of specific skills and knowledge to a complex task. The exhibition performance will demonstrate that the participant possesses an enduring understanding of the course material and has contributed to the global community. To complete IS each student will successfully complete one exhibition of mastery.

* Exhibitions are an honorable way for participants to demonstrate that they can do important work. Exhibitions are an assessment tool that illuminates a students' potential and capacity for deep learning. The expectation is that the preparation of these performances will stretch the students' abilities beyond those demonstrated through class projects and other assessments.

* All IS participants will complete an exhibition as a way of demonstrating to themselves, their peers, the community, and the faculty and staff that they posses a strong set of skills, knowledge and understandings which has prepared them for their next stage of life and professional work.
